Part II (Oral) Exams 
The ABTS plans to administer the Part II (Oral) Primary Exam on September 24-25, 2021 to candidates who were eligible in 2020.  Candidates who become eligible in 2021 will be given the Part II (Oral) Exam on November 12-13.  More details about the exam format will be forthcoming. 

Part I (Written) Exams
Result letters for the 2020 Part I (Written) Exam will be mailed to candidates at the end of February.  


Primary and Congenital Heart Surgery Written Exams Results
Results for the Primary and Congenital Heart Surgery Written Exams that were administered in December 2020 will be mailed to candidates in mid-to-late February.  Results will not be given over the phone or posted on the portal.

Registration for the May 2021 Written Exam
The registration process for the May 2021 Part I (Written) Primary Exam is now open. Eligible candidates can now pay the exam fee on the ABTS portal and can contact Pearson to arrange a testing seat. The exam will be administered on May 17-29, 2021. 

New Leave of Absence Policy for Residents
Effective October 3, 2020, the ABTS adopted a new Leave of Absence Policy that will affect all residents in both thoracic surgery and congenital cardiac surgery residency programs.  To read more about the new Leave of Absence Policy, CLICK HERE.

New Edition of SESATS Now Available: SESATS XIII (13)
